Little Eli is hoping to come early, as opposed to his bit brother who decided to come very late. I went to the OB on Monday and found out I was 2 cm and 90%
effaced and the baby was very low. I know that means nothing to some of you but will understand. Some people can hang out at 2 cm for weeks but the 90% is
the scary part. Neither the OB or I were expecting that. He told me to do whatever it takes to keep the baby in for another week or 2 as I'm only 35
weeks and term is 37 weeks. I've been taking it easy but this morning contractions started. They have been off and on all day and as long as I hang out
on the couch, they stay pretty tame. I'm not sure how people who are on bedrest for months handle this. I've spent half the day doing mind numbing
things on the internet and watching really bad TV. I will do whatever it takes to keep this baby in a bit longer but I have a feeling he will be here before
the weekend.

Hang in there Julie, I never have had a baby so not sure what all that means, but it does sound like he wants to come out really soon. Good luck to you and
Eli, and hope everything goes smooth for both of you. Is big brother ready?Or should I say is mommy ready? lol

Eli arrived this morning at 2:36 am. He is a healthy 6 lb 2 oz and 18 1/4" long. His face is a bit bruised but otherwise he is fine and I'm doing good
too. I posted a photo on Facebook and will get more up as the day goes on.

Thanks guys. We are hoping to go home today. He was a little cold when they checked him this morning so we have to go through a few temp checks before he can
go home. Other than that, he has been doing great and is very healthy for being born so early.
